THE TRIP TO KENINGAU ON CHRISTMAS DAY

On Christmas morning at exactly nine o'clock, we started our journey.
They were eight of us in all to fit in Andrew's car. This will mean that for comfort sake, two person would have to sit at the 'bonnet' if everyone was to have a seat. It was decided earlier that the two 'lucky' person were to be Yona and Lydia since they were the youngest amongs us.
Since the law to use seat belts for rear passangers will only be compulsary after the new year, we got away with the arrangement.

Lydia turned out to have also caught the 'mysterious' attacks of purging and dieheria which I have just gotten over with, after Yona's a few days earlier.
I had slept the fever off the whole christmas eve and appeared to be feeling a bit better that day. Nevertheless.... my head was still a 'heavy' even after swallowing 'panadol'.

Yona was showing her usual 'long' face oviously to display her resentment for being seated at the 'kelas kambing' seat. Tisha had earlier volunteer to change seat with Lydia.
To cut the story short..... I ended up with Tisha 'sleeping' at the back for the whole week's trip. I use the word 'sleeping' because that was what we practically did. A bed would have been better but the mattress laid across was good enough for our comfort.
Except for the now and then nausea feelings,I wasn't complaing. Neither did Tisha.
I think we even kind of enjoyed out 'stay' there.
It turned out Tisha's gesture to let Lydia seat upfront was right beause she ended up throwing up on each stop we made along the way.
We had breakfast at mile 32 and later an early lunch at KFC Ranau (after lining up for half an hour for a mere barrel).

We were in Keningau around four. This is the hotel where we stayed. JUTA HOTEL.
We took two delux rooms, unfortunately not adjoining but good enough.

We had the best parking space, right infront of the hotel.

I still couldn't get the whole car in..... but mom is there.

....so was I
