IT'S STILL GOOD NEWS FOR KML

Photo: Me and my bowling teammates! C: It's really a good time to be with them all. For they are so supportive and caring, helping me for all this while. To be frank, at first I really do feel that joining Kakom was very tiring and the practices made me fully occupied, feeling like wasting my time. But when I back from Johor, I was quite reluctant to let go. Sincerely, I do miss them a lot. This is going to be my sweet memories that I will never forget. Hard to let go. T.TPhoto: ♥ #missthem #somuch #bowling #teammates #kakom #2013 #KML #instadaily

Took this from Yona's fb page. It pretty much show the whole team representing KML for the KAKOM ten pin bowling held in Johore .

They left Labuan for KL on Friday for the games held over the weekend.
I had messaged her for updates of the game but did not get any responses until it was over.  Following through her fb tagged pictures I knew that they didn't get the chance to lane practice at the alley on the day they arrived. Having said that, I did get a early morning call  from her on the day of the game itself.
As usual she was nervous as with every competition. More so having to play without the chance to 'read' the lanes first. Nevertheless I assured her to just give her best and not to worry with the final outcome.
I would have love for her to win a medal BUT she didn't. She only came in fourth.
Missed one spot for a medal . In the team event too they only stand fourth.

She manages to bowled to a good 180 average for the six games even with a 'torned' finger.  A good score for someone who has not been bowling for 'a long time' .

The real good news out of this was......... out of the best twenty they were again asked to compete for a place in a team of five to represent KMM ( Kolej Matrikulasi Malaysia ) in the up coming SIPMA (Sukan Institutsi Pendidikan Malaysia).
Yona came in third earning her a place in the team.

She will be going for the game at Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang , Gambang this coming  15-22 Nov 2013.

That will be another story to write but with this news, it looks like she won't be coming home for the coming semester break.
Team members are bound to undergo centralized training which I'm pretty sure would be somewhere in the peninsular .
She will be the only bowling representative from KML  .

Yeaaaaahhhhh!!!!  Go Yona go....we're proud of you

SAYING GOODBYE TO MOCHA

I had her for a short time but the joy and memories she gave me in return would last forever

This was her a few days since I took her in. I never thought we could save the left eye. It was infected pretty bad. It took about a month or so for it to fully recover.

Look at how beautiful she was. Taken at her very best times.  She didn't want to look at the camera thou so Lydia made her.

In remembrance of my beautiful Mocha

Sadly, she wasn't her family's "forever pet", yet she is that to us. Today an absolutely amazing volunteer had to take a 10-year old cat to our vet to be euthanized as she was in kidney failure. How could this happen? In a nutshell, when her family surrendered her 2-months ago, she was simply heartbroken and gave up her will to live. She wouldn't eat. She wouldn't drink. Volunteers showered her with love and affection, yet after having lived in a home for a decade the shelter proved simply too much for her.

Our hearts are heavy, yet know that she's a forever pet to those dedicated and loving volunteers who make room in their hearts and take time out of their days to right the wrongs of other people. RIP sweet, sweet kitty. We did our very best and only wish there were enough foster homes for the aging, ill and heartbroken animals.

She was a loner in the sense that she didn't like any other cats to get near her. Even so  she was very loving with every human friends.
She was a rescued cat along with her brother Cinnamon (aka..Pooper/Poopie) from AFU group.
Someone had advertised them for adoption  somewhere around this time a year ago. They were seal point Siamese/Persian mix.  At the time the offer was made, both were suffering from diarrhea plus infestation of lice ( as reported by the owner).
My friend Gee had agreed to take both in.. Mocha was for her while  Cinnamon for me.
At that point in time, the original owner gave  Mocha to Gee but held back on Cinnamon sighting that his pooping problem hasn't stop. .
I didn't know if I would eventually get Cinnamon but when Gee had a change of heart with Mocha, she offered to get him for me in addition I adopt Mocha as well.
Gee had kept  Mocha  for two weeks before giving her up. I suspected it was because she caught the flu and her eye really needed immediate medical attention. .

####
She started showing loosing weight and was very picky with her food. She would eat but only very little . Next her right eye changes colour to yellow brown plus it seems to be protruding just a little bit. Panicked , I send her packing to the Vet to be observed . Two weeks there and a bill of almost RM200, she was sent home with ...' there's nothing wrong with her. Eyes changes colours all the time. She's just very picky with what she eats' said the Doctor.
Nooooooooo...that's not what I wanted to hear. If I had sent her there just to be told this I wouldn't have gone to the trouble.
I still say there is something wrong with her.

p/s
Cinnamon was also going through difficult times with his non stop 'pooping'. He was kept at the vet for more than a month to help control this. After trying out all that possibilities...He was sent back ..uncured.
Preparing for his lifetime 'trouble' I took him home. Surprisingly the pooping stopped by itself.
Doctor had earlier said that the sibling's problem could be related to 'overbreeding' amongst the clan....whatever that means

NEW MOMMY

Na...confirmed pregnant because I got a surprise this morning

A wonderful surprise awaits me when I went over to do the morning cleaning/feeding routine. The tortie Siamese that I rescued a month or so ago delivered four beautiful fluffy white kittens.

I knew she would deliver more than a single kitten but four was double the number I had expected.   Not disappointed but worried with the additional number of mouths to feed in due time.
All are whites in color. Chances are they all will be Siamese as mama.
Mama has not been feeling good  for sometime and was not eating much. She is a little underweight too. She will need extra attention since she's breastfeeding now.
Hopefully all will go well for this new family.

 BEFORE

The picture I took on August 16 2013, the day she was rescued from Taman Fajar.

I had gone to the 'pasar ramadan' held there with Andrew during the last day of Ramadan month looking for some lemang.

I ended up not buying anything  after seeing the cat by the busy road side.
She must have been dumped there recently as she was still very 'clean looking' .
Very beautiful young but sadly pregnant cat.

Somebody was 'cleaning' dirth from their house for  Hari Raya it seems.

Dumping cases on any festive session is unbelievable rampant. Owners can simply dump their pets without the least  guilt feeling.

'oh..she can survive since I'm letting her go here at the night marker's hawker stalls  area'....said  these people justifying their action.
'oh really?' how far truth are they in those words?
I'm so pissed off hearing this all the time.

DUMPING IS NOT THE ANSWER!

Why can't you people just get your pet desex?

P/s...
Can't hide from Andrew this one....but he doesn't seem to mind . Phew!

DICLUTTERING IN PROGRESS

“A simple life is not seeing how little we can get by with—that’s poverty—but how efficiently we can put first things first. . . . When you’re clear about your purpose and your priorities, you can painlessly discard whatever does not support these, whether it’s clutter in your cabinets or commitments on your calendar.
Victoria Moran,

TSk3....  I will need to carry forward this task to the new year :)

The purpose of life

ONE GREAT QUESTION underlies our experience, whether we think about it consciously or not: What is the purpose of life?

I believe that the purpose of life is to be happy.  From the moment of birth, every human being wants happiness and does not want suffering.  Neither social conditioning nor education nor ideology affect this.  From the very core of our being, we simply desire contentment.  I don't know whether the universe, with its countless galaxies, stars and planets, has a deeper meaning or not, but at the very least, it is clear that we humans who live on this earth face the task of making a happy life for ourselves.  Therefore, it is important to discover what will bring about the greatest degree of happiness.

FRIDAY THE 13TH

I just quote the heading as such  just so that  people would remember today as that...Friday 13th!
Nothing really if you're not one of those 'superstitious' bunch  ...or those who watch too much of Freddy Krueger's movies.

Anyhow, for me today happens to be just an ordinary day.
Andrew had a blood test appointment at DOC Hospital this morning and I found him 'missing' way before six oclock.

*******
went out to have lunch at Hamid's nasi kandar at Letat after taking Andrew's medical result.\.

*******
Went over the market to get 20kg fish supplies

MISS WORLD 2013 IS ON.......

It's that time of the year again......

Miss World 2013 Opening Ceremony start  the glamour event at Westin Inn Hotel, Bali of Indonesia. It shows 131 contestants in total numbers. This is the highest record contestants ever in the history of Miss World beauty pageant.

The finals would be held on 28September 2013

  • Indonesia will host the Miss World pageant for the first time. This will also be the first time the pageant will be held in Southeast Asia.
  • After protests from hard-line Muslims threatened to force the pageant out of Indonesia, Miss World Organization Chairwoman Julia Morley  supports not having a swimsuit competition in Miss World 2013. This will be the 1st edition of Miss World without a swimsuit event. The pageant organizer plans to replace the "Beach Fashion" event with "Balinese Beach Fabric".
  • The Miss World 2013 Contestants

AAAaarrrrrrrrrr...... all so beautiful...all winners in their own rights. I can't pick who will make it to the final fifteen as the system of judging is not based on individual girl but rather on regions they came from..

I must say I like what I see in Miss India.....thou Miss Indonesia will surely get some strong votes for the Asia Pacific spot seeing that this event is being held there.
