NOTES

SLAVE' OF THE DAY 23 June 2009
Today I felt that I really do earn the title. I've been both the maid and the driver the whole day.
Not to mention being the slave to my farmtown activities...he he
My maid did not come in again today. I have waited untill nine before doing all the necessary chores.
Aaahhhhhh.... I had actually other plans. I wanted to clear all the clothing that have been lying on my bed... sleeping with me for the last three days!
Yesterday I bought few baskets for easier sorting. Today it's adding as 'junks' to the already junkyard of a room I have.
Really got to sort out my priorites now.......real work must come first.
I have been working at the 'marketplace' at Farm Town much too much.

Tisha had sent a message telling me to send her sports attire to school when I come for Yona after school.
They were actually having bowling training after school but today she will be having some futsal training.
I would normally pick them up from school and send them to the alley when their schedule training were in the afternoon .
I would leave them there and pick them up again three hours later..... where traffic was @#$##%%^$.......
Tonight too, Tisha starts her Physic tuition. I have 'hooked' her to her physic teacher for tuition after she failed to get a good result from the last exam. I really felt she needed some discipline in her studying hours as her final exams is so near.
Science student failing science's subjects?.... unacceptable!
As much as I dislike to sent her to and fro to what I would normally say... 'jauhnya'...Grandview?..
I believe this was for the best.

24June2009
I barely have four hours sleep today. I went to bed around two this morning and had woke up at the same time as Tisha's time to get ready for school...i.e. at 5am

I had waited for hours last night to get some internet connection while at the same time watching some tv programmes I have neglected for weeks.... (blame in on Farm Town)
While at that too I've managed to glue together the pieces of broken ceramic of what used to be a cat which I've put aside to do months ago.
Few pieces were missing so I wasn't able to make it look like it was before the 'fall'.
Aha... my cat broke that 'cat'....

By one am, I have given up all hope of saving my grapes harvest ( farm town talk). Streamyx really sucks... it had been two days in a row that I have ended up with rotten grapes.
All the same..as Tisha puts it... we're going for xps and not for the coins....(again farm town talk)

Yona had been sulking all week long . She has been asked to be one of the net ball player for her Red house's team.
Today would be the day she was to play. I found her all dressed in her sports attier but in tears. I cannot help but wondered why the teacher 'forced' her into the team when she had earlier refused as she had never play the game and practically knows nothing about it.
For making her feel so 'tenses' and 'worked up' for days, I have nothing but 'bad thoughts' for whoever was responsible for her miseries.
I felt so sorry for her yet was helpless to render much help. Told her to just 'play' whichever way she knows how for whatever the results turned out to be, everything will still be alright and that she had played her part.

Tisha on the other hand was the exact opposite. She was so darn excited about her futsal game. So excited that the took along the video cam for memoriable shots....without my knowledge.
Not that I don't allow her to use it, I was more afraid that it might get conficated if their teachers found out.
Hard work paid off as they won today's match and will proceed to the final the day after tomorrow.
Looking back at her video footage, She found out she ran like a girl...... ha ha...what do you expect from a girl?

THE TRIP TO KUCHING, SARAWAK 9-15 June

I've booked out tickets two month ahead of this trip therefore we did get a much discounted fares eventhough it was during the mid-year school break.
The main reason to be there was not for 'cuti-cuti Malaysia', it was actually for the girls MSN sports excel's Ten Pin bowling Sarawak leigue.
The dates were marked as 14-16June 2009. As it was held on the school holidays, we had made plans to go there a few earlier....... just to 'breath" Kuching's air :)
This was the girls's first visit to Kuching, second for me.
I had been there about eight years before with my mom to attend a church function siminar.
Asked if there was any difference since then and now, I went 'blank'.... I practically don't have much memories of my past's visit. Possibly there wasn't anyone or any much reason for me to remember 'anything' by.
My last trip touring did however include a visit to the famed catural villages .

For this trip, I would have love to witness the musical rainforest festival that was on going on the days we were in Kuching. This festival has been going on for a number of years and received much attention when it was promoted through the mass medias. It is afterall an international event. Numerous countries were taking part with new entries added each year.
The music they brought forth were 'beyond earth'.....wonderful , peaceful sounds that gets you connected with nature and life itself...(my version)
This event might be one of the reason why I wanted to come to Kuching should I be given the question... 'why go to Kuching?'.
Unfortunately..........
maybe the company was not right this time. The girls too wasn't keen. All they wanted to do was watch the other bowlers bowl. Can't really blame them as that was the reason why we were there the first place.
Anyhow, thanks to a very good friend of mine , we didn't miss a visit the renowned cat museum.
RIVERSIDE SUPERBOWL
The main reason why we were here.... bowling

Our favourite place for a place to rest our feet

CAT'S MUSEUM
A wonderful trip for the girls to remember for they were the only ones amongs their team mates that got to see this acclaimed place.
We had breakfast at this place....Kaya & Toast... first time I have seen although I was told by our wonderful host they have a chains of outlet throughout Sarawak.

A TRIP TO THE NEWEST MALL..
Had the oppurtunity to walk around this big place where I found a sunday market within the premises.

A delecacy at only 50cts per piece

A closer view

FOOD OF KUCHING.... minus the sago maggots
These are a few mouth watering dishes I was fortunate to have tasted while in Kuching.
Dishes for lunch at the car Park Garden

The ever popular Madam Tang's where I tasted my first Sarawak's Laksa

With so much choices of dishes to choose from...Selera Bunda is a very popular lunch time eatery.

THE PRIDE OF KUCHING
As part of our being in Kuching was holidaying, we had come two days earlier than the actual competition itself. The flight from Kk was over in what seems a short while cos we were there well before 9am.
As we were only allow to check in to our room at midday, we 'burned' time walking at the river front.

A must have photo of Kuching

GOODBYE KUCHING
Taken while waiting for our flight back to KK. Mc D ice cream.
Leaving with a heavy heart.... We left behind sweet wonderful memories.

HARVEST FESTIVAL,SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Every year we normally would go someplace within the state for the Harvest Festival holidays which falls on the last two days of May . This also will continue with the two weeks mid-year school holidays.
This year however, we were not going anywhere.
Andrew's medical review was on the 1st of June so it was an ovious reason why we couldn't go . Although he was on leave untill the 4th. I insisted that he extend it till the 7th as that was the day we needed to be in KK if we were to catch our flight to Kuching the following day.
Harvest fastival was therefore spent as another public holiday. For the working folks and students, it was days to wake up a little later than normal.
For me thou, it was just another ordinary day. Holiday or not, when I am at home, my wake up time never changes.... then again I got to nap throughut the day :)

This day too marked Lythicia's and my first day in Farm Town. We we so 'into' the game that this was practically what we did for almost a week. Andrew being the leader.
It was because of this too that out packing for the trip was only done on the day we leave itself. We were up till around 2am to watch out for our harvest. :)
Luckly Andrew was driving and we therefore we did not have any time schedule to follow. We left for KK at around eleven stopping for brunch ....post lunch...early dinner..
Aaaahhhhh.... this is when the fat starts building up
Tisha once commented that all we did as a family was this... aha ...eating!

Stopping at out favourite place on the way to KK for some photographs.
Tasha with her public shuffling

Taking pictures ..... by the toilet

PICK UP TIME......complain notes

It's really been a long while since I've written anything here. I have admitted at facebook that I seem to have lost passion for all the 'things' that is around me. My 'in' passion seem to be just sitting infront of the pc playing Farm Town. I never knew I could be so addicted. I've seen Andrew playing it for sometime earlier. The girls and me made 'rude' comments on how irritating the music was. I somehow got 'hooked' while looking at him arranging the trees, the barn, the house, the accessories that you'll find at any farm...... the ploughing... the planting....and waiting for the crops to mature... the harvesting...WOW!.. it's really fun. Now poping bubbles which I used to play seems so 'unexciting'....
As much as I love being in Farm Town... I was always 'angry' with my streamyx service.
It is really annoying to be paying for non service most of the time. I might just change to a more relaible broadband soon.
It is already almost a weekly task for me now to dail TM100 for assistance.
I'm also getting to know this particular techican they always refering me to pretty well by now. I got the feeling that he's getting pretty 'sick' too with my sms each time my server went 'wild'.
