WASH...WASH....WASH....CLEAN... CLEAN.. .CLEAN

Today was a busy day for me. I did three load of washing. Two for my curtains. I envy my malay friends who can have new set every year. It seems that I have been having washed curtains for christmas almost every year. Next year I'm making sure it'll be new.......well for now...it's still washed curtains.

I wanted to 'shoot' my compound with the water spray gun but was already feeling tired by the time I finished my daily 'routine'.
I saw my neighbour doing his last week. With that, mine looks so 'unattended' to now in comparison.
This is a task that I MUST do tomorrow. Our Church's youth Charolling group will be visiting the house a night after that.
Friends visiting will be a good 'excuse' for me to do some major cleaning around the house. I'm now thinking of what to serve them for refreshment. Probably I'll serve dinner instead of light refreshment.
My girls have been complaing that none of the houses they went to serve them any real 'food'. I'm not suprise though.
This year they combined with the chinese section thus making them into such a big group. Food cost money!
Andrew is picking up the girls without me... (ha ha ..I'm 'here'). He's going for a midnight show after that. I hope the girls are in the mood for some 'action packed' movie or else I'll be getting 'hell' from them later.
My parents came home from KK this evening (a day earlier ) so I got Lydia off my hands. Phew!
She's so hyper active that there is only 'peace' and quiet when she's asleep.

I'm actually in the middle of dusting and wiping the furniture in the living room but can't resist to 'drop' few words 'here'.
I'm sure I won't have the time tomorrow.
Anyhow....it's time to continue ....cleaning!

I just put up our christmas tree... yeah ..a last minute thingy . You can't have carolling without the tree.
It's still not ready ...I'll wait for the girls to finish it later.

..and if you still think being a house-person is easy....

I was 'cleaning' my email box and felt this article is worth saving.

Voted as Women's Favorite Email of the Year!!!

DEFINITELY THE BEST EMAIL OF THE YEAR !!

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed
home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:

"Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen."

God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.

The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, Set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, Drove them to school, and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, Paid the bills and balanced the checkbook.

Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the
laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the
school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way
home.

Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework.
Then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At
4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the
chops and snapped fresh beans for dinner.

After dinner, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry,
bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though
his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to
make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said,
"Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's
being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied,

"My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were."

God answered: "You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last night!"

A DAY TRIP TO TAWAU

On hari raya haji we went for a day trip to Tawau. It was to be a trip for Andrew and me but the girls wanted to come along.
We stayed over at Emas Hotel.... our regular hotel. We didn't get our regular room though. The one we stayed in was a bit smaller....or maybe I somehow underestimated the girls' sizes. We used to 'fit' in perfectly well with only an extra bed added. This trip....Hhmm...I must remember that children do grow.. bigger!

We didn't get to do much with such a short time there.
A trip to the 'big' market for the much famous indonesian goods ( I ended buying a tin oven (he he..can't help myself), a kilo of binjol and the ever popular 'amplang' keropok ).
Sale was around everwhere but I only bought the bigger girls these two lovely white blouses for only RM13 each (70% off). It's for them to use on their caroling nights.

We did however managed to have dinner that night with Andrew's brother Charles his wife Alma and their children, Aaron and Ally Jane (yeah... my in-laws la ) Chinese sea food dinner that cost over RM200 but worth every mouthful.

Ha ha... we managed to 'lined' ourself up in that king sized bed for a short afternoon nap. Unfortunately sleeping with children is something you have to get used to because I ended up sleeping in the couch that night.

Lydia and cousin Ally Jane and the girls enjoying the meal.

That's me with the last minute 'cleaning' of the plate

Tisha got the tough task of 'disposing' of the head

That is what's left after we have 'gone through' them

That is how I look after the ten hours 'holiday' drive.... tired and tanned!

THE DAYS THAT WENT BY

I have actually taken a lot of photos for my blog during the past days prior to my holiday trip to Japan and Korea. I wanted to blog on the events as it happened but seems to have lost the 'excitements' in writing them now... macam cerita bangas ba.
It's always so much nicer to write when the 'feelings' were fresh but as I have mentioned earlier, I've been busy with priorities..... 'things to attend to' prior to the trip.
Nevertheless as to not 'waste' the photos... I'm posting them here for memories of the days that went by.

A belated friend's hari raya open house invitation gave Tisha to try out my new camera with these candid shots

I had the hall between the kitchen and living room walls retiled. I had bought the sunflower border tiles long time ago and had decided to use them on this wall. I painted the wall myself inorder to match the purple colour of the tile. (good for fung shui colour)

The bigger side tables went through the process outdoor.

Part of my suflower wall hangings that gone through cleaning.

The 'spring cleaning' also included part of my cats collection.

I repainted the whole kitchen walls within the next two days as I didn't like the whole picture of darker shade of green with the new purple paint . I picked 'light cinnamon' but the end product doesn't really gave that picture . It's more to medium yellowish shade now. Unfortunately I have forgotten to take pictures of the walls before and after for comparison.
Andrew came back during the weekend and brought back lots of durians. As usual we ate out for most meals.

Durians!!!!!!!!!

We had this Laksa for breakfast at a very well known shop(recommended to all who likes fresh fish ) NEW FONG FONG...next to RHB Bank at Taman Indah.

Their verson of the Fried wet mee... I tried to focus on the freshness of the fish fillets but Andrew wouldn't give me the chance.

Japanese toufu with minced chicken from THE BOS

The irresistible fried mee basah..... again (THE BOS's version)

I found another eatry place in Taman Indah and went in to 'try'what they have to offer.
FINDINGS:
Place looks quiet and clean.. maybe because it's new.(we were infact the only couple in at the time)
Food....hhmm
OK la...taste ordinary...nothing spectacular
Price....aahhhhh...I thought its a bit expensive for ordinary taste food.

Was in KK for a day to 'deliver' my doxy pin .... I managed to 'check out' the much talked about (by fello Sabahan bloggers) popiah at Palm square. It's was good but a bit messy to eat when you're walking. The sauce was a bit hot for me but overall it was... hhhmmm yummy

Tisha and me at Champ's toilet taking self portriats prior to her training.

While waiting for the older girls to finish training, me and Lydia went to do some tasting on the newly opened pizza shop opposite the bowling alley. It was good and have the same price as pizza's hut pizzas.
