BYE BYE YONA

Today I practually had to drag myself up eventhou I went to bed much earlier than the few nights before. I needed to get Lydia ready for school as she still does have school today unlike the rest of the girls.

Today Yonna will be leaving for KK on the 9am bus. She would be staying at the Sports's complex before leaving for Melaka for the MSSM competition.
Everyone had been asked to be at the bus terminal the latest by 8.30am.
I had made earlier plans to have breakfast at a nearby shop before taking her there so we left the house about an hour earlier.
After failing to wake her up yesterday , Tisha had asked me to 'force' her off the bed so that she could join us.
I have told her days earlier that she would need to attend to her financial matters or she won't have any monies while in KL. Today would be the last day to do it as we would be leaving for KL tomorrow evening.

WEEKEND AGAIN?

It's saturday again which means I have not written anything here for a week.
Well to be honest I don't really remember much of my days already.
What I remember is most of the days were spent sleeping to make up for the late nights spent on the net.

STORY TELLING & JOGGING ON SABBATH

Woke up earlier than the alarm. Jumped out of bed after remembering it's sabbath and assuming the maid won't be in.
I've done most of the 'urgent' task befofe the maid turned up.She was replacing the two days that she did not turned up last week.

Saw a missed call displayed on my hp. Lydia's teacher , Ms Ng's telephone number... I just knew then and there that she had omitted to tell me that there would be school today.
A returned call and true enough I was right.
Lydia had been told but she had responded by saying she would be attending church today.
I did not mind the fact that she would rather be in church than school. After all this was what she was taught at sabbath school... six days for other things and one for the Lord.
But the fact that today is the day for her english story telling competition makes a lot of difference.
She had been practicing her story telling for as long as I can remember and to miss it?.
She had infact missed last year's competition due to the same reason which I unfortunately had no knowledge whatsoever before today.
I had kept on asking her when and she would just kept on saying not yet each time.
She didn't even know she had totally missed it .

Ms Ng had said the competition would only start at 8.30am so I still have ample time to send her to school.
I was back before eight and therefore was in time to attend church service with everyone else in dad's car.
Today there would be some visitors from Kota Belud's church and therefore we would be having pot luck again.
I had opted not to join partly because I did not want to leave Andrew alone fending for lunch on his own and also for the fact that Yona had training at 11.30am.

After lunch at SYN LOK bak kut teh and sending Yona for training , we returned home awaiting Lydia return from school.
Asked how did she do..... she replied she had forgotten her story while on stage and had to repeat the whole story from the beginnig.
errrrr......
I will still have to ask her teacher on the results or how she did for that matter.

The girls had earlier made plans to go jogging at the sport's complex this evening.
We came earlier than the time agreed with Jo and her kids as Andrew had also wanted to jog.
I managed only three rounds to the girls's five.... phew!
The 'shock' of being shooked up took a toil on my body...(excuses...excuses....)
I Felt so drained and tired in the evening.

THE WEEK

I knew the maid would come today so there was not much rush getting ready for church.
Although we were ready early dad was very late today.
What I anticipated about communiion today was not to be. It would only be held next week. (Thanks to the chinese church for using all the basins)

The plumber came and 'did with' the water tank. I have opted for the 400 gallons plastic blue tank.
Replacing the tank cost almostRM800.... aaahhhh
The girls had no training scheduled and was somehow 'lazy' to attend youth activities in church so afternoon was free. Iwanted to sleep but ended up infront of the pc instead.

Andrew did not leave on sunday as he was going to attend a meeting here monday morning.
We spent most of the day as usual with our individual pc since there were no training for the girls again.
Andrew got a date to meet up with his friends at mile 8 for ...dog meat!..
aahhhhh ...what the..$%^@#$@ /&... the thought of it all make me 'sick'.
I was really reluctant to join him but did so in the end when he insisted. He said I don't have to eat it.
It was still'sickening'to watch so many people enjoying their meal. Women too!
eowh.. it was tourchered to see the dish.... I was having visions of my dogs faces and their loveable ways while looking at these people glubbling their food.
The meat in question

Monday as my day of rest was still set to that. I hardly moved from my pc mostly surfing at fb games and the news online.
Andrew went for his meeting for a short while and later left for KK.
Lydia came back from school uttering excitements over her english spelling. She said she almost got all right.
We really had a good laugh at the one she spelled wrongly.

Tuesday morning was as usual but at 2.30pm I went up town with Jo to do some business at the bank. She had some documents to sign.
We stop over at RHB bank to bank in monies for the girls's KL air tickets.
Walking around shopping instead of doing what we had intended to do, it was already too late to go for her denture's measurement. No choice but to come back tomorrow.

It was almost six by the time I reached home . We had gone to Taman Mawar earlier on to take Lionel after his tuition class.
Upon reaching home I found everyone asleep.
Good to note there was no programme for tonight. Tried to join them with a short nap but can't seem to fall asleep.
Did a few house chores before going online.
AAhhh... streamyx went bad around 10p.m
Tisha went to bed...frustrated...
Yona follow suit.
Missing broadband! ..called Jo and was told that she was having same trouble with streamyx.
Found my line!....back on the net.
Streamyx still 'sucks' when I finally went to bed around one.

Wednesday it rained which make a good reason to go back to bed afrer the girls have left for school.
Did a few chores but mood again wasn't there...probably the rain and the 'date' I have with Jo.
Tisha found me napping in my bed at almost noon . My way of wanting to nap more than the 10 minutes I usually do was to be in bed instead of the couch.
Jo had said she would pick me up at midday instead of the 9.30am coffebreak we had agreed upon. We were to continue our unfinish task today.
AAhh.. with no dinner last night.. no breakfast this morning.....I was so darn hungry.
We stopped over at Sky to have lunch.

Jo and her food... I insisted she be in the picture
My set

Chicken in wine... midday boozing?

We proceed to the bank to do what needed doing ( withdrawl.. what else). Later on to the town centre to do her dentures.
With time...and $$$$ to spare..... :) It's shopping time again.
First to the 4D outlet to buy tickets...hahaha..occasional!
The number which Jo dreamt was that of my car...UNFORTUNATELY it was already displayed on the winning board .
Talking about missed luck.

We stop over at a few goldsmith shops to look for a 'weeding band'.
Jo needed one that would fit her finger better. Putting on weight has somehow shrunk her wedding band.... thats how she puts it.
With too many choices she ended up buying two rings instead....hhmmm
I resisted the temptation to get one for my self as well. I reminded myself that I already have too many stored somewhere.
that's the self bought wedding band
A very beautiful sunflower ring did however caught my attention...RM6++....imagine that!
Blame it on the sunflower or my expensive taste I surppose.
I would actually rather have one however cheap but given with 'meaning' attached.
Buying for myself can always be done. Gifts are more precious and appreciated.
It is always the thoughts that matter most..... still.. don't just think about them..give them to me ;)

There was no bolwing for me and Jo tonight eventhou we had wanted to. All the lanes were taken by the MSN trainees.
With no choice offered, we sat at the cafe sipping coffee..... blabbering about 'life'.
A few 'chicks' came over and have their self photographs taken beside us. Not to be outdone we did the same.

Two old...er chick..en ..hahaha

Friday 2 April 2010

GOOD FRIDAY

It is the second day of April and it is Good friday.
In remembrance of Christ death years ago, Christians throughout the world celebrate Easter. Sabah is one of the only two states in Malaysia that are having public holiday today.
To me personally, it will just pass as any other ordinary day.
Reason because our church do not hold any special services to commemorate this day.
Come to think of it...it is really never big a deal for us advestist.
Tonight too will still be just vesper night ...the beginning of sabbath for us.
Tomorrow will be our first communion for this year in the new 'church'.
I have missed the last one when I went for the women ministry's retreat in Kundasang .

Friday morning was greeted a little better than thursday because the maid finally came. But not before I halfway finished her regular routine.
She started to blab her reasons for MIA for the last two days but I assured her that it was alright. She has always 'replaced' her absent days without fail so I did not mind that much.
Afterall nothing could be done now that 'past is past'.

As today is not a school day, the girls slept a little later than the normal 5am.
With Andrew around I was sure we would go out of the house either for shopping or importantly ..FOOD!.
Yup ..always right when it come to this. Went over to Giant ( Guardian actually) to get a few things that has run out from my closet.
We had lunch at a new shop somewhere near there. The food was nice and so was the proprietor. I'm pretty sure it won't be the last time we eat there.
Whole afternoon was spent indulging on fb games.

I discovered a BIG..I mean really BIG BIG problem today.
The house's water tank needs to be replaced.
There is a big hole ( BIG!) that makes it look like someone left the tap running.
Imagine 24/7...how many hundred thousand gallons does that adds up to?
woooo... how long has this been going on?.

Left with no option, I had to get someone to replace it....FAST!
I found a plumber which my neighbour recommended.
He will only be coming tomorrow morning to take a look at the 'problem' ..so for now it's just tap off at the main switch.

Tonight me and the girls went over to Jo's place for some fellowship and chocolate cake. I did not want to go as it was already around nine when Tisha informed me but she was so keen and had actually been saying about going over even since the afternoon.( she was asleep on the couch when I went out for dinner with Andrew)
More reason for us to go was because it was Sheryl's 17th birthday cake that we would be having. ( her actual birthday would be on monday) Jo had bought two cakes and this one was especially meant for us to enjoy earlier on.
We took some photographs to remember the day by.
