Today I turned 50.....yes fifty. Somehow the number sounds so 'serious'. I don't know why but this year it seems like there's nothing 'big' about the whole event.
My sister Appy even called from the states this morning asking how I was going to celebrate this special day.
I said just as I did every year....hardly...just dinner with the family and a cake perhaps.
She asked why no 'big' celebration...'after all fifty is half a century' ...to which I answered 'so what?'
