NATURE WALK IN TENOM

It was already eight in the morning when eveyone was up and ready.
By nine we had checked out of the hotel and was having breakfast at a chinese coffee shop nearby.
The drive to Tenom takes less than an hour. We had to stop and ask for direction thou for the route towards the famed agriculture park. My mom have been talking about visiting it for such a long time that visiting it seems a must now that we were so near.
We were all so curious too as to what lies within. Moreso for the 'mystery fruit' which my brother Atlas has been talking about. It's a berry kind of fruit, red in colour when ripe and can turn sourness to sweetness within minutes.
There were entrance fees charged for different catogories.... yeah..oldies,students,pre-school and 'normal' people in between those.(which is the most expensive ..RM10). Fortunately they don't impose charges on cameras or video cams.
The park provides 'trains'( it looked like a farm tractor in disguise) to bring us around... with stops on selected areas along the way. They do provide bicycles for hire for more personal tours but that day the weather was too sunny for us to consider it.
Extremely hot!... Dad and Andrew didn't even bother go down the train and walk around the park due to this.
We have our umbrellas in hands therefore the sun was not a major problem for us.
I didn't realise it then that Tisha was 'shadowing' me thoughout the time we were there.
On the mystery fruit..... hhmm.. I didn't get the chance to try it as there were limited riped fruis then . Dad, Andrew , mom and Atlas did tried.
The results?... yes sourness did turned to sweetness except for mom.
She was still complaining of the sourness ( they were given the asam belimbing to eat after taking the fruit)as we leave the place. Leaving it a 'mystery' to the staff there.
Atlas was eating the asam belimbings as if they were apples which eventually left him with a sore throat .
We had lunch and did some shopping in Tenom town before proceeding to Tambunan.
Shopping was good but lunch on the other hand was bad. Nasi goreng was pale and tasteless while the Sup tulang was 'rubbery' and oviously not fresh. Luckly no one 'suffer' after that or else our journey would have include unnecessary stops at the W.C.

While waiting for the 'train'

In the 'train' that took us around the park

Hhmm.... the 'shadow'

Hhmm...again

I'm sure umbrellas are not meant for 'poking'

Aahhh.... there's the fingers again

Ha ha.... finally 'freedom' ..I managed to be alone in this photo
