MISS WORLD 2013 IS ON.......

It's that time of the year again......

Miss World 2013 Opening Ceremony start  the glamour event at Westin Inn Hotel, Bali of Indonesia. It shows 131 contestants in total numbers. This is the highest record contestants ever in the history of Miss World beauty pageant.

The finals would be held on 28September 2013

Indonesia will host the Miss World pageant for the first time. This will also be the first time the pageant will be held in Southeast Asia.

After protests from hard-line Muslims threatened to force the pageant out of Indonesia, Miss World Organization Chairwoman Julia Morley  supports not having a swimsuit competition in Miss World 2013. This will be the 1st edition of Miss World without a swimsuit event. The pageant organizer plans to replace the "Beach Fashion" event with "Balinese Beach Fabric".

AAAaarrrrrrrrrr...... all so beautiful...all winners in their own rights. I can't pick who will make it to the final fifteen as the system of judging is not based on individual girl but rather on regions they came from..

 

I must say I like what I see in Miss India.....thou Miss Indonesia will surely get some strong votes for the Asia Pacific spot seeing that this event is being held there.

Another one on holiday

I marked this date because today  Tisha came home . She had just completed  two years at UCSI.  Semester break would be two weeks .
She flew from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu and straight took the bus back to Sandakan because Andrew had gone to Keningau and was not in KK to drive her back on the weekend. He has a meeting due this Saturday too so might not even make the dive home.
Rocky took her from the airport and send her to the bus terminal

Newly crowned Mrs Universe 2013 Carol Lee flanked by her fellow beauty queens at the finals on Aug 11 at The Westin Aruba Resort in Palm Beach, the Caribbean.

PETALING JAYA: Reigning Mrs Malaysia Universe Carol Lee made history when she was crowned Mrs Universe 2013, becoming the first Asian to win the international pageant.
Lee, 39, secured the coveted crown during the finals on Aug 11 at The Westin Aruba Resort in Palm Beach, the Caribbean.
The news presenter and former talk show host beat 32 contestants worldwide to clinch the title, along with the Mrs Popularity subsidiary title.
Lee garnered 88,649 votes in the online fan votes contest, narrowly beating Mrs USA Amanda Grad who scored 88,556 votes.

She spent 10 months preparing, both physically and mentally, for the competition. The theme and initiative for this year’s pageant was ‘Stop Domestic Violence’, which fit into Lee’s championing of nationwide campaigns to assist non-governmental organisations in the fight against domestic violence against women.
Besides being an avid public speaker and emcee, Lee also runs Starz Studio, a child development and learning centre for the young.
At the pageant, Lee wore clothes by Malaysian designer Carven Ong, the Asian Top Designer of the Year in 2009.
One of Ong’s notable creations was the national attire Lee paraded at the pageant, which featured a large hibiscus over one shoulder.

Mrs. Lee always concern Malaysia stray dog’s problem included Johor Baharu HOPE animals shelter. Her team and her planned organize charity dinner event raise donation fund build new shelter for HOPE.

It's her PTPTN  agreement documents.
What the S**t...she has a year to go and they are already asking for payback ?

While Andrew cancelled his, I went for the 2.30pm dentist appointment  I had made last week at Grace Dental. 
One filling and one tooth added to my existing denture cost me RM125
I left the clinic without my denture. They said they would call when it was ready and I could come and collect it before 5pm.
They called at 7pm.  ;/

Mom , with Jeff's help bought  Airasia return tickets for herself and dad to KK.
We had received news  that my aunt.... dad's eldest sister Kantim had passed away during the night.

Dad can't find his IC so Jeff  went downtown with him to made the police report . Much urgency as they were travelling tomorrow . Without the IC he would not be able to board the plane.
( IC found the next morning....mum gave it a wash in the washing machine with the day's laundry)
