I had made the dental appointment three weeks ago when I last went there with my sister Appy. That time I did two fillings but there was still another one that needs to be taken care of.
Doing my routine, I had kept reminding myself that the appointment was at 10am.
When I finally reached there ten minutes past ten, I was taken aback when the receptionist told me that my appointment was actually at 9am.
WHAT?...why then did I set that time in my head for the last three weeks?
'That's why la you all didn't issue me an appointment card'..I complained.
'Nobody called you to recomfirmed?'...she asked. H E L L O?????
Why are you asking me? Shouldn't that be your job?
Anyhow..there were two appointments ahead before she could 'slot' me in.
One didn't come so my wait wasn't that long.
My intention to save my tooth was not accomplished as the She Dentist said she could not guarantee that 'everything' will be well. She could try filling but incase there is an infection, I will need to come back tomorrow to extract it.
Oh ...I remembered what toothache pain is like. I had done one tooth filling years ago that resulted in a sleepless night. The pain only left after extraction the next day.....12hrs of pure pain!
Goodbye tooth.....I will never see you again :(
Less one to brush
*******my intention to shop for a few provision after this appointment was put to halt
*******the fishman called
*******mom called to say that she would be driving to the hospital herself. She said she need to come back early tomorrow to get the house ready for Atlas and his gang.

LISTEN TO GOOD ADVICE
“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”- Steve Jobs
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.”

MOM'S 2013 BIRTHDAY

This year mom would be alone on her birthday.... alone in the sense that none of her children would be with her. Furthermore she had to spend it in hospital as dad has still not been discharged.
I would have been here to spend it with her but Andrew wanted to drive back to KK today right after his hospital appointment in the morning.
I have made the effort to get a birthday cake for her though .
At least that I know would make her feel somehow less forgotten .
I have asked Jeff to send my love and wish along with the cake. I have asked him to reverse the candle numbers too....just for the fun of it.
Sweet seventeen again.

My mom on her 71th birthday..... with her man
I hope you know how much you're loved and appreciated
I hope you, instinctively, knew all along even if I seldom say it out loud
HAPPY 71st BIRTHDAY MOM!

UGLIEST AGAIN
The 2013 winner was crowned just over a month ago but to see how times flies,I had totally missed out on 2012's winner.
### additional news
I do remembered many months ago hearing about Yoda's death on the radio but I haven't got get the chance to read or write about it. Yoda was the 2011 winner.
I'm sharing here news of her death from the Time's posting. RIP Yoda...be happy over at the golden bridge
A homely Chihuahua and Chinese Crested mix that snagged worldwide acclaim for being deemed the “world’s ugliest dog” in 2011 has died at the age of 15. “She passed away last night in her sleep,” her owner, Terry Schumacher, wrote in an email to the Hanford Sentinel on Tuesday. “I will miss her funny little ways!”

#################
The 2012 winner is Mugly, an 8-year-old Chinese Crested with a short snout, beady eyes, and several unkempt white whiskers, owned by Bev Nicholson of Peterborough, England. Apart from the title it also got $1,000 and a year’s worth of dog cookies. Mugly, however, is already a champ before this. Owner claims he was named Britain's ugliest dog in 2005

In 2013 Walle, a "huge-headed, duck-footed mix of beagle, boxer and basset hound" from Chico beat 29 other contenders to win the contest.
Judges said they were especially impressed by Walle's bizarre waddle of a walk. Said Judge Brian Sobel, "This dog looked like he's been photo shopped with pieces from various dogs and maybe a few other animals."
Walle wins $1,500 and will make several network TV appearances
On my personal note...he's just like Pablo, 2009 winner . Nothing ugly about him to be considered 'ugly'......... moreso 'ugliest'
Pablo...World's ugliest dog 2009 winner

DOUBLE MEDICAL TROUBLE
Planned was to send dad for his foot's dressing at the hospital...which initially was to be done by Jeff alone. Somehow the rain yesterday had caused him ( and me) to have a terrible headache .
As finding a parking space at the hospital would be something to dread of, I went along with mom tagging as well.
I opted to be the driver while he attended to dad's needs and paper work at the ER unit.
*I was lucky to find a single parking not far away from the canteen.

*Dad got admitted again...as expected.
- his wound seems to have opened up. Most likely he had put pressure on the toe sometime yesterday.
After getting him settled at the first class ward this time around (his status as past assemblyman entitle him to free medical treatment at the first class ward) , we went out to have lunch at the hospital canteen.
Initial plan was,Jeff was to come back and be with dad while mom run some errands prior to coming back and staying with him during night time.
Mom called and complained of her chest pains....she was gasping for breath when Jeff found her at her home later. She was immediately taken to seek medical attention at her regular clinic.
The Doctor diagnosed her as being seriously overstressed . He gave her some pills to 'pop' with another appointment to run some tests first thing tomorrow morning.
He had initially referred her to seek further treatment for a similar problem at the Specialist center in Damai or SMC in KK two years ago.. ...which she had totally forgotten to take up.
#######
Total rest for the remaining day for mom...Jeff stayed overnight at the hospital to attend to dad 's needs
#######
the day after she was kept for observation and more tests at DOK hospital

Mom and Sis came home
Went to the airport twice today...not to fetch them one at a time but because I have forgotten to let Lydia have the house keys .
Appy's MAS flight was supposed to be in the morning but it was rescheduled to afternoon, which is almost the same time as mom's AirAsia flight.
We went the first time around but did not see her...nor did she saw me. She said she was looking for a colored car...gold color car to be exact.
Yeah...that was the color of my previous car....like four years ago.
And she had seen my colored ( Red Ferrari ) car during our Christmas holiday barely six months ago.
We went back to give Lydia the keys because she has tuition class to attend to today. We returned shortly to find her sitting quietly at the waiting lounge .
With less than half an hour for mom's plane to land, we went shopping around the airport shops instead of going home first.
***She bought a cute bag for Ashley.
***They both had actually just flown in from Singapore to KK the night before from a weekend holiday in Bali
***Dad had been discharged after a week in the hospital
***Jeff has been taking care of him since his operation but was now sharing the task with Dennis since he came home a few days ago
#######
Dennis , Appy and myself went out for early 'Ikan Bakar 'dinner at IJM Giant area.

It's the fishes that she's taking picture with

DEAD TIRED
woke up early.. 4.45am .... I must have 'passed' out the moment my head hit the pillow last night .
I last remember waking up for a few minutes just to dry my hair prior to getting back to bed at around eleven.
The room light were left on mode for the whole night of which I totally wasn't aware of.
I had to rush doing the routine as I need to go and check up on dad at the hospital before the visiting hours were up. (visiting hours are from a 6 - 8am.)
I finally reached the hospital at exactly 8am after loosing my way through all the winding pathways leading to his ward. Not until much later that I realized that there is a very short way to the ward.
Dad was sleeping when I came. Poor him. That is actually all that he could do for now.
