Living in my world- Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss the lips, sunsets to warm the heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for the eyes to see, friendships to brighten the days , faith so that we can believe, confidence for when in doubt, courage to know oneself, patience to accept the truth and... Love to complete my life.

LABOUR'S DAY 2013
Woke up at almost six thirty and wondered why my alarm did not rang this morning.
I had left my handband together with the phone in it at the kitchen table the night before.
That was how tired I must have been to have forgotten such an simple task as that.
Luckly it's a holiday today therefore Lydia did not have classes or else she would have missed her ride and I would have the task to send her to school myself. Phew!!
It's labour's day today.....thou nothing special for unemployed folks like myself.
With no 'farm' to managed..I started my morning chores earlier than normal thus ending earlier than the normal ten o'clock.
It was only Lydia and me at home, so lunch, dinner plus any other meals in between was simple. One packet of 'meehoon' fried with eggs and ikan bilis .
#############
Important news of the day (which actually was yesterday but because my phone was not with me then, so I never knew until today )....Yona have received the offer from KML...yeaaaah!!!
- which makes it now a 'headache' to make arrangements with her current college inorder for her to sit for her finals, graduate and leave the college with a full cert in hand within two weeks from today .The duration of the course actually would need her to stay for another month or so .
Jeff negotiated with the college that she be allowed to sit for it early so that she could register with KML on the stipulated date so that she need not worry about coming back to continue classes (during her semester's break) later on.
The first thought was to register in on the next semester but we were told that the offer was only for this coming semester. Pushing that aside she might not be offered the same course again ...or worse gets the two year course instead.
After much deliberation , they feel that she was ready enough to sit for the final exams...in ten days time.

Brushed NayNay and bath Blinky...they both need REVOLUTION!!
I dread to checked on the other four...Grey specially.

POACHY'S LUMP
Considered 'urgent'...we had to change the schedule of two spaying 'slot' for Poachy's operation. Now this is the third cancellation for Biscuit. Arrrrrr it'll be another 'difficult' month when she goes on heat again.
The operation went well with good news that the lump was merely accumulation of extra fats and nothing more 'serious'. She did extremely gained weight after her spaying .
It was much much smaller the first time I noticed it way back in November when she was about to be spayed

It grew at an alarming rate that removing it was an urgency matter
Aawww....looking so sweet for her appointment - side profile on the enlarging lump.
This was 'it'
Few hours after the operation.....bleeding a little when I carried her home

OLD HABBITS DIE HARD

It's happening again. Last minute 'must hantar tomorrow' project. This time it's Lydia's.
She was asked to sew a small coin purse for her kemahiran hidup task.
Choosing to tell me at the very last minute would mean getting to do with what is in hand. Thus the very unattractive cotton print ( used to have few pajama pants in this print during my preteen years . Ugly but very comfortable material indeed)
Does this match a standard five student's work? and should I mention that she has never even sew a single stitch?
Hehehe ....well, sorry teachers...this mama has a habit of completing 'home tasks' for her girls.
Last minute work would mean burning the midnight oil...as was with the two older girls.

These 'skirts' were done on the same situation but three years apart. The bigger one is Tisha's while the smaller one is Yona's.
I remembered 'yapping' out at them on why not tell me earlier if it's due .... still .....I treasured those memories as good ones. And that is also why I hold on to these 'projects' ...very dear to my heart.

IT'S JEFF'S DAY
Sometimes it may not be possible to remind someone everyday of how special they are in your life.
Wishing your birthday is filled with sunshine of joys, rainbow of smiles and rainfall of laughters plus an extra candle on the cake for an extra reason to smile. Happy birthday Jeff.... there's still ain't nobody like you.
We ordered pizzas and chicken wings but without a birthday cake . I wanted to make one but Jeff said no need as we were going to have the 'real' celebration plus birthday cake when we are in KL in two weeks time.

TURNING 21
TURNING 21
Today is the day you turn twenty one!
You've gone pretty far, but it's only begun!
Education, Employment and Friends and Love too???
Oh my, what wonders lie ahead for you.
Be sensible in your venture, known as your life,
especially in love, as it cuts like a knife!
Be honest and loving in all that you do,
and watch very closely as it comes back to you!!!
What goes around comes around, my Mom used to say,
so remember what you do to others will happen to you one day.
Keep strong in life as it will surely take its toll,
and always remember your life long goal.
Put yourself first always. You are your own best friend.
You're the only one who'll be with yourself until the very end!!!
Be good and true and always do the best you can do,
and you'll be please to see what life has in store for you!!!
I've googled for a nice poem for Tisha's coming of age birthday and I've come across this one which I feel has all the 'points' I wanted .

How times flies. She's no longer a child but will always be my child.
My child whom I will love till my last breath.
She flew from Kuching yesterday for the Chinese New Year holiday break but is still in KK . Yona had gone there with Jeff to take her and Andrew as well home during the weekend.
