LONG WAY FROM HOME

It was already nine when we started the trip to Kota Kinabalu.
First was a stop to pick up dad at his house.
The  trip was all the way with dad talking with Andrew ...about everything that comes to mind. A change for Andrew's weekly trip I'm sure.
-we stopped at mile thirty two for an early lunch
-atTamparuli to chek on dad's tailor - only to find that they closes on sunday
We sent dad at his Likas house around four before droping our baggages at home.
The 'deal' was actually to pick dad later on inorder to bring him to papar.
he was not patience enough to wait for us cos he had left ahead when we came for him later. His excuse was the car he was driving had only one head light working so he didn't want to get caught on the road at night.
-Andrew friend Amat plus Rocky and Florence came along on the trip.
Being a sunday it was difficult to find a Chinese restaurant open . We ended up at papar's market place.
Not a bad choice as the food they prepared  were infact 'good'.
IT was already eight thirty when we came back to the house...to chit-chat a little about the land we were going to see tomorrow.
They left around ten . Lydia and me spent the night in papar together with moing.

24//2/2014

Since bedtime was almost immediately when Andrew left for KK the night before. It was a 'long' night for me.
I think I woke up three times before my 5.30am alarm rang.
Morning view was great...together with the smell of kampong

Whole of the time I was there were spent on holding the broom and sweeping the whole house.
-big house which has not been swept for a long time
-cutting a banana tree and plucking papayas

-around tbree we went out to 'inspect' on kampung's grazing land that I planned to aquire. About one hacter of plantation land in all that was just next to one dad had bought for Atlas a year ago and has been planted with palm oil.
-we were informed that there's another piece that was offered. Will need Andrew's red light to get this on as well. Location was also next to the one offered earlier.

- Went down to KK in the evening. Andrew 'picked' us up at the Likas's house.

- went out to centre point around seven thirty to let Lydia try the lane but none was available . She managed to play three games only after nine thirty.

- it was a 'long' day and was in lala land the moment we got home

It's been a long time but it was still 'fun'

Today went as any ordinary day but there's a few 'events' that I want to remember this day by.
Firstly ...It was one of the 'rare' days that I'm feeling real sick.
well it's coughing mostly plus the extremely 'heavy head'

I went over to dad's place even with the heavy head because I know he'll appreciate the visit since I did not come over yesterday plus the fact that I have been away in KK since 16th

Dad called and asked us come over. Guess he's really feeling alone .
-with the maid doing the indoor ..I went over to do the garden . Lydia washes his laundry.
-did some sewing with his 'bladder belt'

Went back at around six

FEELING 'CRAP'

Woke up as the alarm rang to find that Lydia is still not up. I went to her room to find her sleeping but in her school uniform. Arrrr...this girl is something else. she said she woke up early because her alarm had rang early. She said she had set the alarm an hour earlier .

My head is still 'trobbing' but I managed to move around doing what needs to be done even though Jeff said he would do them.
He was feeling more 'shit' than me . He has been 'down' since the day I left for KK . It's been five days and he's still sick.
We managed to do the cleaning and feeding early so were able to rest the whole afternoon.
I did some weeding and fertilizing before doing the evening feeding.

Dad called....he wanted to know when I'll be going back to KK in regards to the land deal we talked about last week . Seems it was coming to place.
Arrrrr... this is another case and I have not told Andrew about it.

MY BABY TURNED 22

How very fast the time has flown
The years seem such a whirl
Since you were just a tiny child
A precious baby girl.
How quickly you have blossomed
Through those tender childhood years
When every single day had moments
Full of joy and tears.
But all those nostalgic childhood days
Which have sped so swiftly by
Have seen you reach (13)(16)(18)(21)
All in the blinking of an eye.
So think about your future
Special things to see and do
New faces and new challenges
Just waiting there for you.
For your birthday is a milestone
And it marks another turn

How fast a year goes by. I remembered talking about her 21st and today it's already her 22nd.
She was happy to be home on her birthday after missing the actual date for the past few years.
Days earlier we had planned to do  her cake. This girl only wants a chocolate cake...if she was going to eat it.
I had planned for a 'pool of chocolate with piglets swimming' cake  with kitkat as side frosting but she insisted that she's not a 'pig' in any ways :/ hhmm

I finally get a nod with a 3D bear cake which I baked a day earlier.

Every year your Birthday makes us just a little sad because we know that you'll have grown up one more year, gone away from us a little more and would have made new friends to spend your time with.
